Are fees present in all types of quotes?

A) Not in every type of rate call. Fees do not show in RC1 as of today, but they do always show in RC3.

Are there more or fewer charges applied in full-term vs. monthly billing?

A) Installment fees would be charged fewer with full pay but policy fees would remain the same regardless of payment cycle.

Regarding monthly billing, are the fees front-loaded?

A) Fees are spread monthly but they are considered "fully earned" at bind. Meaning if a policy fee is $50 then we charge $8.33 per month for that fee but if a customer cancels, we keep remaining fee balance up to $50 from prorated refunds.

What are Root's requirements for displaying fees/charges? Where and when should this information be presented to the customer?

A) Customers must have access to see a breakdown of their fees during the quoting process. Root typically recommends having a breakdown available behind a clickable link or modal for the fees to be displayed.
