New Roadside Assistance Coverage in AR, OR, IA, WV, and CT

In the following states, we will begin requiring a selection for Roadside Assistance (roadside) coverage for each vehicle:

  • Arkansas (AR)
  • Oregon (OR)
  • Iowa (IA)
  • West Virginia (WV)
  • Connecticut (CT)

This change will be rolled out over the next 2 months.

For comparison, this behavior is currently present in Washington (WA), Texas (TX) and Delaware (DE). See this guide for more details on Roadside Assistance (roadside) becoming a required coverage, as well as how to future-proof your integration against this change.

Background

Previously, Roadside Assistance (roadside) coverage was required for every insured vehicle on a policy. This was a mandatory coverage and customers were not allowed to opt-out of this coverage. To provide better flexibility to customers, we now allow them to opt-out of Roadside Assistance (roadside) coverage.
