New Roadside Assistance Coverage and Driver Decision Requirements in DE

This update covers two updates that will be released in DE simultaneously. The two changes are Roadside Assistance Coverage and Required Driver Decisions

Roadside Assistance Coverage

In Delaware DE we now require a selection for Roadside Assistance for each vehicle. This behavior is currently present in Washington WA and Texas TX for comparison.

See this guide for more details on Roadside Assistance becoming a required coverage.

Driver Decision Requirements

Similar to other states like OH and FL, we will now prevent finalizing a quote until a decision is made for every driver in the Delaware DE

Affected Endpoints

Background

When Root discovers drivers when running our pre-fill report, we will auto-attach those drivers to the quote with a status of Undecided. In most markets (now including Delaware), we will prevent finalizing the quote and continuing to bind until the status for each driver is updated to one of the following:

  • Decided
  • Excluded
  • Not in household

Refer to this related FAQ guide for more details and instructions on how to manage this behavior.
