The Quote response object now has two (nullable) policy numbers in its response: boundPolicyNumber and originatingPolicyNumber.

The following keys will be at the top level of a quote response body (alongside id, status, profile, coverages, etc.):

originatingPolicyNumber represents the policy from which a quote was started. It will always be null for now, however, since we do not yet support post-bind policy changes or other "policy aware" quoting activities.

boundPolicyNumber will be null until the quote is bound, at which point it will take on the value of the policy number the quote bound into. This is the same value that will remain available on the Bind policy endpoint and on the Policy Bound Webhook .

📌 Important Things to Know

boundPolicyNumber for quotes already bound in the past will take a few weeks for their values to populate.
